The Story:  

Following a successful concert presentation of the music, Penny & Pound is pleased to present the fully-staged version of the new musical, A Nightingale Sang!
 Gaelleon Pfeiffer, a Roma Gypsy born of sin and disappointment into a world that can only see the colour of his olive skin, finds himself on the wrong side of Poland's Nazi invasion. His troubled past meets present when childhood best friend, Cary Schoenberg, entangles him in a white lie and an irrefutable job offer that becomes a matter of life or death. 
 Inspired by stories from Leszno Street- 'the Broadway of the Warsaw Ghetto-' A Nightingale Sang is endearing, heartbreaking and deeply inspiring. 

PLEASE NOTE: A Nightingale Sang features characters who display racist and prejudiced behaviour, as well as scenes and situations that may be frightening or triggering to some. Viewer discretion is advised.
